摘要：

This letter designs an LC-type CMOS NP-cross-coupled voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) using a new LC resonator. The die area of the VCO in the TSMC 0.18 mu m CMOS process is 0.98 x0.85 mm(2). The measured oscillation frequency of the VCO is at 2.736 GHz, the phase noise is -117.64 dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset frequency and the figure of merit (FOM) is -188.59 dBc/Hz at the power consumption of 0.6012 mW and at V-DD =1.2V.
