摘要：
Generalized Rayleigh, a weighted version of power Rayleigh distribution is introduced. The hazard function is increasing upon the values of parameters. The generalized model has been compared with different models for flexibility and efficiency using real life data sets. Further, the parameters of the new model are estimated via classical method of estimation. It is observed that weighted power Rayleigh distribution fits better than power Rayleigh, Rayleigh and weighted Rayleigh distributions.
