摘要
To slove the problems of small water depth, large water area and ineffective evaporation loss to the plain water reservoir in arid area, the work presented in this study used PE spheres covering of water to reduce invalid evaporation. The relationships between the wetting rate of spheres and wind speed and coverage area were analyzed qualitatively by the means of observing and analysing the meteorological factors for a whole year and the wetting rate of spheres under different weather conditions.Meanwhile, established the evaporation inhibition rate and the evaporation capacity calculation model to obtain the annual evaporation capacity and annual water-saving efficiency of spheres under different coverage area. The results show that the annual water-saving efficiency reach up to 62.93%, 65.16%, 67.77% and 70.00%, respectively when the coverage area are 1m2, 2m2, 3m2 and 4m2.The water-saving efficiency of the non-freezing period are 62.21%, 64.51%, 67.18%and 69.46%, and the water-saving efficiency of the freezing period are all 91%.It can be seen that the spheres have remarkable effect on water evaporation and it is significant to improve the effective utilization rate of water resources. © 2020, The Editorial Board of Journal of Basic Science and Engineering.
