摘要
ZrB2-SiC-based ultrahigh-temperature ceramic composites are in great demand in the aerospace sector. This work aims to study the synthesis of ZrB2-SiC composite powder using raw materials, zircon (ZrSiO4), B4C, and phenolic resin through the boro/carbo thermal reduction method. The effect of the C/B4C ratio and synthesis temperature on the synthesis of ZrB2-SiC composite powder was studied. The favourable formation mechanism for ZrB2-SiC from ZrSiO4 has been analysed. The processing route offers flexibility in controlling the SiC content of the produced ZrB2-SiC composite powder.
