To address malnutrition at an early stage, regular assessment of nutritional status and implement structured nutritional management are essential. Adequate and individualized nutritional care is the key to problem-oriented adjustment of dietary habits during the disease process, and given the complex changes in the gastrointestinal system, nutritional counselling should be an integral part of postgastrectomy care. Even after oncological treatment has been completed, there is an increased risk of nutritional deficiencies, which requires regular monitoring of relevant nutrients.
