Optimization Research on Train Operation Plan for Shared Line Mode between Suburban Railway and Intercity Railway

In the preliminary development stage of China' s suburban railway, the incomplete theoretical research system of its transportation organization and the insufficient research on the collaborative compilation of shared line train operation plans between suburban railway and other rail transit modes cause difficulty in adapting to the development trend of rail transit interconnection. In response to these problems, in this paper, models for compiling the shared line train operation plan between suburban railway and intercity railway were established from the perspectives of passenger travel time and enterprise economic benefits. To solve the model, the solution algorithm based on NSGA-II was designed for it. The case study of Shanghai airport contact line that validated the proposed model and design algorithm shows that the proposed model and algorithm can effectively solve the train operation plan for the shared line mode, and reduce the total travel time of passengers and improve the service level of the rail transit system. © 2024 Science Press.
