In the paper, the problems of energy consumption during the pipeline transportation of a high-viscosity crude petroleum of Uzbekistan deposits are discussed. It is established that the high viscosity of the petroleum of the Mingbulak field (22.38 mm2/s at 50°C) is related to high contents of paraffins, silicon resins, and asphaltenes. The generalized expressions for the dependence of the regime of petroleum transportation on its viscosity are presented. The simple calculations with the derived formula allow one to choose the optimum regime of the petroleum transportation under given conditions.
