This study is based on an analysis of groups of classical elementary rheological models. Two stages are considered. In the first stage the author explaines the overall and local behavior of some particular systems of one-dimensional models subjected to a one-dimensional load within the framework of a new formulation proposed by the author. In the second stage, the author gives the general framework of all possible groups of modeld (one-dimensional or multidimensional) subjected to arbitrary loads and shows how easy it is to obtain a priori their properties during cyclic loadings. On these bases the author then derives a possible practical representation of the global constitutive laws of materials and a new type of approach to the analysis of local physical processes.
