摘要
This paper reviews the theoretical model for computation of the motions and loads of an articulated single-point mooring system for large tankers. Non-linear equations of motions have been formulated and solved using time integration techniques. Excitation from wind, waves and current are taken into account retaining the possibilities of specifying individual directions for each contribution. A computer program developed on the basis of the analytical model is used to study numerical examples. Comparison between theoretical and model test results demonstrates the practical applicability of the analytical model.
