Determination of the Boundary of the alpha plus gamma / gamma Phase Regions in Fe-Cr-Ni, Fe-Cr-Co, and Fe-Cr-Mn Systems.

A mathematical analysis based on an experimentally verified linear interdependence of the distribution coefficients of additions has been used for describing the boundary of the alpha plus gamma / gamma phase regions in Fe-Cr-Ni, Fe-Cr-Co, and Fe-Cr-Mn systems in a high temperature region. For the experimentally determined values of the distribution coefficients, the phase boundaries alpha plus gamma / gamma of the three systems considered were calculated for the 1100 C isotherm and then compared with the results obtained by other authors. The effect of minor additions on the position of this phase boundary was also determined.
