摘要
The collection of particles in an electrostatically enhanced fibrous filter is investigated numerically. Individual particle pathlines are computed within a model filter. The model filter is composed of an array of parallel cylinders arranged in a regular pattern. The effect of such forces as electrophoresis, dielectrophoresis, Brownian motion, and particle inertia is considered. The model can predict the influence of these forces on the collection efficiency of a fibrous filter and is able to match available data of enhanced collection to a reasonable degree of accuracy.
