A characteristic feature of carbonaceous materials, including solid fuels (cokes, semicokes, coals) is the great diversity of their properties and the complexity of their structures, which causes great difficulty in the derivation of generalized characteristics of the kinetics of reaction in various gaseous meida. The aim of the present work was to determine parameters with the aid of which the experimental results for all types of carbonaceous materials differing both in their crystal chemical and porous structures in their reaction with gases can be generalized. In this paper, an analysis and a generalization of experimental results on the reaction of various types of carbonaceous materials with gases have been made. A generalized relation between the pre-exponential factor and the activation energy for porous and monolithic materials is given.
