Recrystallization of conductor copper during extrusion and after cold drawing, (Rekristallisation von E- Kupfer waehrend des Srangpressens und nach Kaltverformung durch Ziehen)

On the basis of a comparison of extrusion textures with annealing textures of drawn wires, electron microscopy, and mechanical property determinations on 99. 9% pure copper containing about 0. 025% oxygen, it is shown that this material recrystallizes dynamically during extrusion and is easily deformed thereafter. The dependence of extrusion textures and properties on extrusion conditions is discussed.
