摘要：
The current possibilities for the economical manufacture of compressed air are described on the basis of a comprehensive survey of literature and technical discussions with manufacturers and users. Additionally, the article describes the various alternative types of available compressors and compares them with respect to their performance, advantages, and disadvantages. The air compressor user is given comprehensive directions for the planning, selection, and installation of equipment. Attention is also given to the problems associated with compressed air cleaning and piping to the user.
