摘要：
The results of numerous long investigations are collected and summarized in this paper. Investigations on pipe materials, mostly stainless steel, include electrochemical laboratory tests, determinations of corrosion of the inside of the pipe caused by flowing water, and on the outside of the pipe caused by contact with building materials or leakage from defective fittings. Tests on fittings include the effect of brazing and brazes. Different types and mechanisms of corrosion are analyzed.
