摘要
The methods of identification and quantification of nitro aromatics present in waste waters from dinitrobenzene, nitrochlorobenzene, nitrotoluene and nitrobenzene manufacturing industries are presented. Results include the quantities of these compounds released in the environment per kg of the product manufactured. Gas chromatography was used to identify and quantify nitro aromatics and phenolics present in the wastewater. The types of equipment used were Perkin Elmer (UK) Model F-17 and Toshniwal (India) Model 3800, and the detector employed was Flame Ionization Detection (FID). Nitrogen gas was used as carrier gas in all the analyses.
