Recommendations are presented which were formulated by the European Convention for Structural Steelwork (ECCS) for the design of frames of multiple- story buildings in seismic regions. The recommendations deal with the most suitable type of wind bracing, foundations, dimensioning and execution of assemblies, seismic stress analysis, seismic design coefficients, and verification for torsional effects caused by asymmetry of the structure.
