The Algorithm of L. G. Khachain.

Khachian's algorithm has led to a real euphoria especially concerning its future practical importance. Knowledge of today shows that Khachian's algorithm cannot replace the Simplex-algorithm in the near future. There is no doubt that this algorithm is of great theoretical importance. A constructive description of the algorithm is given and its theoretical as well as pracitcal importance is discussed.
