The Belgrade airport has made a decision to lengthen the runway, because the present runway length (3000m) is not sufficiently big for taking off of fully loaded crafts. In order to foresee the consequences of the lengthening of the runway by 650meters with respect to noise, measurements in the vicinity of the runway and in settlements near the airport have been carried out. Aircraft noise impact evaluations are made with suggestions for reducing the environmental impact.
