The rational use of electricity in industrial processes is expected to be a factor both of energy conservation and innovation. This kind of innovation will give small business firms undeniable advantages of many kinds, including productivity, product quality and environmental protection, but poses certain problems of adaptation to the methods and training of employees to take maximum energy and economic advantage of this energy source; it will also be necessary to assist the executives in their decision-making, because the novelty of the technologies and the apparent complexity of the aid structures may outface them.
