UK LEAKAGE CONTROL POLICY.

This paper summarizes the current approach to leakage control in the United Kingdom and traces the development of present philosophy in dealing with leakage. Techniques used for surveillance of the distribution system are outlined, together with procedures employed in actioning leakages for attention. Brief reference is made to some of the preventative and remedial processes being used to mitigate the leakage problem.
