摘要：
An assessment of initiatives to increase the use of alternative fuel vehicles (AFV) throughout the US is presented. The fact that regulations in the Energy Policy Act of 1992 may require companies to begin purchasing these vehicles in the near future was highlighted. The argument that the future of the AFV market largely depends on how government institutes these regulations and whether sufficient infrastructure can be developed to support large-scale AFV populations is discussed.
