Economical high-speed steels

The need to replace high-speed steels by steels with a lower alloying additive content is noted. A definition is given of the concept of economical high-speed steels. The proportion of the costs of production of high-speed steels represented by the costs of alloy additives is indicated. The results of studies of the lifetimes of drills made out of economical high-speed steels are presented.
