The study described here is part of a program aimed at evaluating the sealing characteristics of aluminum aerosol containers. Main objectives of the study were: (1) to clarify the influence of the bead strength in relation to the tightness of the bead, and (2) to find the most accurate method for monitoring the stability of bead during the manufacturing process. Results of the study are discussed.
