摘要：

The German satellite telecommunication system will complement the existing networks of the West German Post Office. Data channels with selected data rates in the range from 64 kbit/sec to 1. 92 Mbit/sec are available. The network is designed as a user-oriented time multiplexing system with 2. 60 Mbit/sec total capacity. The frequency band 12/14 GHz is used for transmission. The ground stations incorporate antennas having diameters of 3. 5 and 4. 5 m, respectively.
