摘要
The approach considered is based on the application of the equivalency of fire-protection measures for buildings. It includes the Measurement of Building Safety concept. Calculations are based on graphic representation of the efficacy of different fire-protection measures: I-curve (probability of fire going out by itself), A-curve (probability of it being extinguished by automatic sprinklers), M-curve (probability of it being extinguished manually), and L-curve (cumulative probability). It is explained how to use this flexible equivalency approach to satisfy fire-code requirements while maintaining design freedom.
