Short-term, remote-site testing at the right location and with the right equipment for independent operation provides the incentive for accomplishing goals. This approach is shown to be cost-effective. This article reports on three remote sites which have been extensively tested, namely: Pinal Air Park Marana, Arizona; Litchfield, Arizona; and Chippewa International Airport, Michigan.
