摘要：

The author gives the results of a calculation of critical loads of a beam with a slender web without stiffeners and subjected to a full uniformly distributed load. The variation of the membrane stresses in the web is supposed to conform to the linear theory of bending of beams. To express the buckling surface of the slender webplate the author uses trigonometric series for different combinations of restraint and hinged support along the edges.
