摘要
The equilibrium nitrogen solubility and nitride formation in austenitic Fe and Fe-Ti alloys were measured from 1273 to 1563 K. Specimens were equilibrated with four different oxygen-argon gas mixtures containing 1 pct hydrogen. The nitrogen solubility obeys Sieverts' law. The precipitated titanium nitride is cubic TiN. The solubility product is log(wt pct Ti) (wt pct N) equals minus 14,400/T plus 4. 94.
