A method is proposed for the analytic determination of correction factors that allow for the variation in operational and economic indices that characterize the efficiency with which the equipment of independent electric-power systems (IEPS) are utilized by transportation systems, for a restricted time interval. The expressions for the correction factors make it possible to take into account the factor describing the discrepancy between the beginning of series production of IEPS equipment and the time at which it commences operation for a particular type of transportation facility. A sample evaluation is given of the efficiency with which various types of electric-power units are employed on transportation systems; allowance is made for the correction factors.
