摘要
The optimization of the output power of an ideal thermionic converter is studied for the case in which the emitter temperature T//e, the collector temperature T//k, and the output current j are all given. An exact analytic equation is derived for the envelope of the voltage-current characteristics of the ideal converter for given values of T//e and T//k. This envelope can be used to judge the efficiency of actual converters.
