摘要：
After a brief introduction to data bases, the backbone of the modern information management systems, and to Data Base Management Systems, three classical data models are discussed: hierarchical, network and relational. In particular, the concept of normalization is introduced and its effects on the evolutional stability of the information management system are discussed.
