Description of a technique for designing temperature gages capable not only of determining the temperature of a hot point on a structure but also of locating its position. The coated measuring elements consist of three wires insulated from one another by stabilized zirconia; the general properties of two types of such elements are described. These elements make it possible to measure hot point temperature from 500 degree C upwards and to locate the hot points in the temperature range from 600 to 1100 degree C.
