摘要
Distributed control offers the potential for high performance and reliability as a result of data handling and storage close to the process. But a wide range of options is available in the equipment used for individual functions and the manner in which central supervision and coordination are achieved. A control system philosophy is needed to ensure that development proceeds rationally in this diverse environment, and to guide the integration of hardware and software elements into a total data acquisition, control, and reporting hierarchy.
