摘要
This paper describes the advantages of raising the abrasion resistance and lowering the consumption of ball mill liners and grinding balls. Analysis of the impact load and kinetic energy sustained by these parts show that while iron parts with a certain minimum impact strength can be used satisfactorily. The abrasion resistance of white iron in comparison with that of other ferrous abrasion resistant materials is higher in laboratory wear tests or in field tests of balls and liners. The abrasion unit cost of white iron parts is also the highest.
