Different special cases of general equations suitable for solving specific problems of the hydrodynamics of surface phenomena in magnetizing and polarizing media are discussed. The main problem of closing the system of surface equations of motion consisted in finding expressions for the internal magnetic and electric fields. These fields were found by using the property of harmonic (i.e., satisfying the Laplace equation Δφ = 0) functions inside the interphase layer. The magnetic and electric fields inside the interphase layer were expressed by writing the Maxwell equations in the characteristic system of coordinates K″, this system moving with the velocity of the interphase layer.
