EFFECT OF METAL PROPERTIES ON SHAPE OF ROLL FORMED PRODUCT - CIRCULAR ARC SECTION.

摘要
The relation between the product shape and strip metal properties is experimentally investigated by single-stand roll forming of the circular arc section. For strips of carbon steels, aluminum alloys, and copper alloys, the entry guide height dependency kappa prime of the longitudinal product warp decreases, but the springback DELTA theta / theta of the cross section increases with increasing amount of impurities or alloying elements. kappa prime is found to have a good correlation with strain recovery in tension testing during unloading from the prestrain of about 1%, while DELTA theta / theta is found to have a good correlation with the bending strain recovery in bending testing during unloading from the bending prestrain of about 2%, which corresponds to transverse bending strain in the roll forming process.
