New Palladium-Base Alloy V-2 for Diffusion-Type Hydrogen Filters.

摘要
It is shown that the alloy V-2, which has a composition of Pd-15% Ag-1. 5% In-0. 2% Y, is a very promising material for the components of diffusion-type hydrogen filters used in the annealing of transformer steel. It combines good operational characteristics with a high degree of economy, since it does not contain any scarce expensive metals such as gold, platinum, or ruthenum. The use of this alloy can be especially effective at temperatures from 300 to 600 degree C, since in this range the hydrogen permeability of the alloy is 15 to 50% greater than that of alloy V-1 (Pd-15% Ag-3% Au-0. 6&Pt, 0. 6%Ru, 0. 2%Al) and 230 to 400% greater than the alloy PdAg10Ni5.
