摘要
Within the decade, combined cycle power plants employing direct combustion of coal and indirect heating of air for the gas turbines could prove to be greatly superior to other central station designs on an overall basis of efficiency, potential capacity factor, ease of operation and economy. Also under study are gasification combined cycle plants in which all of the gas is burned in the gas turbine. Heat input to steam is the heat output from the gasification process plus the gas turbine exhaust heat.
