Macromodelling of long lines

Approaches towards macromodelling long lines are considered. Expressions for all parameters of macromodels of long lines substituted by chained resistive networks have been obtained in analytical forms, and effective algorithms for their numerical treatment have been described. Such expressions, apart from their value for macromodelling problems estimate the possibility and legitimacy of using other macromodels of long lines, obtained by approximate and, in particular, by empirical methods. The development of various simplified computation procedure for macromodelling long lines may be also based on them.
