摘要
Production of pipes for petroleum and gas pipe-lines has been considered. Low-sulfur steel is required in this case. Low-sulfur cast iron is utilized in basic oxygen converter. Low content of sulfur in the cast iron is provided by means of ladle treatment. Cored wire containing magnesium is used in the ladle. Desulfurized cast iron has been utilized for smelting the steels of 13G1SU, 10G2FB, and 09G2FB grades in basic oxygen converter with capacity of 160 tons. Optimal consumption of oxygen has been determined. Produced steel is processed in ladle with the use of cored wire containing calcium and aluminum. High quality of steel is provided.
