The mechanical properties and structure characteristics of the metal of the first commercial batches of blades made of the EI929 vacuum-remelted alloy are described. Special heat treatment conditions - retarded cooling from the hardening temperature - for the purpose of improving plasticity and impact toughness have been used. Preheating of blanks is recommended. It is shown that the structure varies depending on aging temperature. The effect of structure on the mechanical properties of the alloy is shown.
