摘要
Monte Carlo simulations based on a simple model for crack growth reveal a difference in the crack pattern. The model qualitatively simulates crack growth on the surface of brittle materials in a random environment. Similar simulations for other shapes of grains are in progress in order to investigate geometrical effects.
