A new type of level recorder has been developed to improve the transient response and its response coincides very closely with that of a sound level meter. This now enables graphic traces to be interpreted as true indications of measured sound level. With the increasing workload in respect of new noise control regulations and the wider deployment of automatic Environmental Noise Analyzers, this new advance will result in considerable savings in measurement time.
