摘要：
A projection has been made for the likely demand for steel in 1990 and 2000 AD. Likely future availability has been projected based on the currently existing schemes in hand and the trend of development. In view of the likely shortage of steel in 2000 AD, the strategy to be adopted for the future is suggested.
