Dynamics of nonisothermal adsorption and desorption of nitrogen dioxide

This paper is concerned with a study of nonisothermal adsorption and desorption of nitrogen dioxide on the zeolite H-mordenite, recommended for use in power plants. The experimental investigation was conducted in a laboratory assembly comprising an adsorber, a system for preparation of the gaseous mixture, a spectrophotometer for analyzing the gas entering and leaving the adsorber, and a thermocouple with a KSP-4 high-speed potential recorder. As the result of experimental studies and calculations of nonisothermal adsorption (desorption) of nitrogen dioxide on granules of H-mordenite, relationships were obtained for establishment of operating conditions of adsorption and of the regeneration stage in a system for purification of gaseous emissions from a power plant.
