A two-step process is described in which first a thermoplastic thin membrane is injection molded as a parison and then transported to a thermoforming mold where a very thin-walled, tall cup is stretched by using plug of designed shape. Designs of welds used in both technological steps are given. Advantages of the new developed processes are pointed out. Technical and technological data of machinery and molds used are included.
