The polarization forces appearing due to difference between the dielectric permittivity of the liquid and that of the gas produce a so-called dielectrophoretic motion of bubbles in the liquid. Since under real conditions clusters of bubbles are to be removed, it is worthwhile to examine the interaction between bubbles upon application of an electric field and, first of all, pairwise interaction. Such interaction is the object of this study. The electric field is produced by an arbitrary array of point charges outside the bubbles. The polarization forces acting at the boundaries of the bubbles are assumed to the much smaller than the forces of surface tension acting here so that changes in the shape of bubble surface can be disregarded.
