In this review paper the main macromolecular products containing cyano-ethyl group in the side chain have been discussed. The commonly accepted mechanism of the cyanoethylation reaction, methods of preparing cyanoethylated polymers as well as their principal properties have been characterized. Due to their high value of permittivity, they have found applications in the electronic industry.
