Digital printing. Heidelberg Digimaster 9110: New conception in digital printing

Printing in black is one of the strong points in digital printing and is for use in rapid commercial printing and in reprography. The Heidelberger Druckmaschinen company is betting on the Digimaster 9110 printer to respond to the demands of high production digital printing in black and white. It is a modular system easy to install, that can operate at high speed and with versatility with the object to obtain high volumes of production. The M.A.G. Hartmann SA company presented this unit in Spain in March 2000 at its Cornellá de Llobregat (Barcelona) headquarters. Among the unit's properties is an open architecture including formats and protocols. The unit can receive data via networking, Internet, and Intranet and accept archives PDF, TIFF, and Postscript Level 3. It can also incorporate the finishing process known as Bourg Finishing that includes classifier, stacker, lifter, stapler, and so on. The Digimaster 9110 uses dry toner, operating electrostatically, printing 110 pages per minute in format A4, and 55 pages a minute in format A3 with 600 dpi quality, and using 80-200 gram/square meter paper one or two sides.
